Polar Capacity in Almedalen: Who can solve the capacity challenge – and how?

Welcome to our seminar in Almedalen on Tuesday the 5^th of July. It is becoming increasingly common that municipalities and companies are stopped in their expansion plans due to lack of electric capacity. In this seminar we discuss the way forward together with a panel of experts from the energy sector with extensive experience in government and policy-making.

Since the problems often arise on the local level we discuss if the solutions shouldn’t also be developed from a bottom-up approach? It might be both faster and cheaper to manage the capacity shortage on a municipal or regional level, rather than having to wait for large-scale national solutions. And if so, do we have a regulatory system that supports this? And who is willing to invest?
